2019 Press Release

New Mexico Cocktails & Culture Culinary Festival 2019:
A Celebration of Mixology, Art, Music and Local Chefs
NEW: NM Cocktails & Culture Culinary Week Follows Festival Weekend

For Immediate Release: March 26, 2019 (Santa Fe, NM)—After rave reviews and sold-out events, New Mexico Cocktails & Culture Culinary Festival (NMCC), returns for its fifth year, showcasing local restaurants, bartenders and chefs, while attracting mixology professionals from around the country. The festival takes place from May 31 – June2, 2019 at the Drury Hotel, with tasting parties geared toward both hospitality professionals and sipping & dining enthusiasts. A NEW ADDITION is the NM Cocktails & Culture Culinary Week which follows the festival weekend.
“I’m thrilled to share our unique cuisine and culture with local and out-of-state visitors. It’s also a chance for our local hospitality professionals to learn from top mixology educators from across the country,” explains NMCC producer, Natalie Bovis of The Liquid Muse LLC. “Taco Wars sells out every year, and the Chef & Shaker Challenge Grand Tasting attracts some of the most influential chefs in the Southwest as participants. The NMCC Bartender Battle live competition is a chance for our state’s top talent to shake it up in front of cocktail fans. And, this year’s addition of NMCC Culinary Week will drive guests into local restaurants during an otherwise lull before summer tourism kicks into gear. Finally, by donating a portion of all festival ticket proceeds to local charities such as the SF Animal Shelter, Cooking With Kids, the Santa Youth Shelter & Family Services and the Helen David Relief Fund, this truly becomes a community event.”
